About

This market has no memory. We exist to give it one.

The market failure

Technically superior performers routinely earn a fraction of weaker ones.

That is not a talent problem or a motivation problem. It is a structural defect in how the market moves information.

Every booking begins from zero. Every buyer re-solves the same problem alone. Every performer's reputation stops at the edge of their own network and does not compound. In a market with no memory, buyers cannot reward quality — they can only reward familiarity. Which is why the well-connected average performer consistently outearns the excellent unknown one.

Both sides lose. Talented performers cannot convert quality into price, and buyers overpay for the wrong signals.

We make the market for live performance reward quality — so that the best performers are the ones who get found, trusted, and paid accordingly.
Philosophy

Talent is subjective. Professionalism is objective.

That distinction is what makes any of this buildable. A standard based on taste can never win an argument. A standard based on evidence can be audited, appealed and revoked — and anything that can be revoked has value.

So we do not certify that a performer is good. We certify that the professional risk is handled, and we say plainly which of those two things we are doing.

Accountability

One name, on every recommendation

Matteo Cammisa founded MAGIQ after twenty years performing, and reads every brief that arrives. Not a shared inbox, and not a rotating account manager.

If a recommendation is wrong, there is a person who was wrong, and you can reach him at management@matteocammisa.com.

The founder is on the roster

Which is a conflict of interest, so here is how it is handled.

Matteo Cammisa performs, and appears on the MAGIQ roster like anyone else. Automation would not remove that conflict, it would conceal it — someone writes the matching rules, and that person is a candidate in the pool.

  • Disclosure

Wherever the founder appears in a recommendation, the profile and the recommendation both state that he founded MAGIQ.

  • Never the sole recommendation

Two or three options against every brief, and where the founder is among them the options are presented unranked — otherwise ranking becomes the mechanism through which a shortlist could be rigged.

  • No self-assessment

His Verified record is evaluated against the same objective criteria as everyone else's, eventually by someone else.

The test we re-ask ourselves each quarter: could MAGIQ be operated by someone else, with Matteo still on the roster? If yes, it is a company. If no, it is a job.

Where we are

Early, and saying so

The roster is small. The placement record is short. Verified is defined and published in full, and will not be issued until 2027.

A site designed for the year-three evidence base would look abandoned today, so this one is built to be honest while it is thin and to get stronger without being redesigned.

Careers

One role, and it does not exist yet.

The first hire will be someone who owns buyer relationships — not a marketer, not an editor. It is the test of whether this is a system or a person, and we will post it here when it is real rather than collecting speculative applications now.

Performers are a different route: what we require.
